Keep Skis Safe

​Here are some ideas for reducing the risk of ski and pole theft while you are enjoying a break inside a cozy mountain side Café.

1. The classic cable ski lock, with combination locks can be easier to break into compared to those with keys. You need to think about the size and weight of the lock since you will be carrying it all day. The Hiplok Z LOK below is the lightest ski lock wighing only 20 grams including the key and you can use it year round for your other sports items.
2. If your skis are not new, then put yours in the rack next to a pair of brand-new Skis
3. Separate your skis with a friend
4. Write your name or email address on the skis or use an engraving pen. Write in Chinese!
5. Paint your skis so that they look less lovely to would be thieves.
6. Record the serial numbers and brand of your skis and photograph them  as well as your poles
7. Sew a cloth name label into the loops of the ski poles. Decorate your poles with some coloured insulating or holographic wrapping sticky tap
8. Don't take them off, keep skiing :)
