Eyhus5 is very comfortable, well equipped with everything you need and in a great position. We caught the bus from the railway station on arrival but the walk was easy thereafter, even ok with bags. Supermarket well stocked but closed on Sunday) The views.... amazing in every direction. Queensland, Australia
The place is close to the train and the lifts to explore the area. The apartment has all you need to enjoy your stay. The host provided lots of tourist information and responded promptly to any questions. The view from the balcony is incredible. The place is perfect for a stay in the alps. Niagara Falls, Canada
We are very fortunate to find this gem in Lauterbrunnen. the place is very cozy it feels like a home away from home. pretty much everything we need are in the house. comfy beds and couches too! the views from the balcony is exceptional. a place you look forward to after the long walks, a very restful home. host is so patient and very prompt in responding to our questions and the suggested itineraries were greatly appreciated. also the welcome basket of goodies was a sweet gesture of course! we will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wanted to make Lauterbrunnen their base to go to the different mountains and we will definitely come back to this place if there is another chance to visit the region! :) Boston USA
Lauterbrunnen is an ideal starting point for exploring and Ey Hus is a wonderfully comfortable and convenient home base. The location is excellent as it is within walking distance of everything yet not in the middle of town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend the apartment highly. Hazelton, Canada
Strongly recommended in every regard. Good communication, location, view, comfort, amenities, and even snacks. We hope to return someday. Seattle, WA USAEy's apartment is an amazing place to stay. The location is fabulous, the views spectacular, the bus stop is just steps away, the apartment is clean, spacious enough for the three of us, and equipped with everything we needed. I highly recommend the apartment and would definitely stay there again if we return. Ey was available for questions and responded immediately before the trip and during. Chico, CA USA
View was not as (Website hidden by Airbnb) WAS BETTER!! Lauterbrunnen is an absolutely beautiful village, and this home is located right in front of the waterfalls with views up the valley towards the alps. Due to the great central location (about a 15-minute walk from the train station and right on the bus route) we were able to explore Schilthorn, Gimmewald, Murren, Interlaken, Lake Thun and more. The home is exactly as pictured and was equipped with everything we needed for our 8-night stay. It was convenient to have private laundry facilities, even though they were in the basement. And yes, there were church bells – but they honestly did not keep us awake and are part of the charm of the village. In fact, we spent a month in Europe and every location had church bells. The host answered all our questions quickly, both before and during our stay. We would recommend this home! Wrightwood, CA USA
Ey is a thoughtful host, you can find everything you need and feel at home. The view is very nice, we enjoy sitting in balcony to watch waterfall. Wifi is strong, hot water is big. We will choose here again if we come back. Hangzhou, China
This apartment was fantastic. We had a great time enjoying the view and it's great location for hikes in this beautiful valley. Our host was perfect, with good communication. We will be back, and will recommend to friends. Great vacation! Memphis, TN USA
This excellent apartment is small, cozy and warm, but its crowning glory is the view from the balcony - you look right out on to the 300m Staubbach Falls, with snow-capped peaks beyond - surely one of the most captivating sights in the world! We retired to it with a sundowner every evening after the day's hike. The apartment is located in a small block at the top end of the village. It's a 15 minute walk (half of which is uphill) from the train station, though there is a bus which connects with every train to drop you off just 50m away if you have heavy baggage. There is a short cut which takes you along a little path, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are dragging suitcases as it's steep and rough. The owners generously left us milk, wine, cakes and chocolate, which was very welcome, as the supermarket had closed by time we arrived (6.30pm and closed all day Sunday). The double bed is comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped. Show is nice and strong. The wifi is strong and fast & there's a TV with English channels. The washing machine in the basement was a godsend, but you'll need to bring/buy your own washing powder. If you're a light sleeper you will need to bring ear plugs as the apartment is near the church and the bells ring every hour, day and night. If you have the shutters down and the windows closed you can hardly hear them, but the apartment is very warm and we needed to keep a window open at night. The icing on the cake was the sauna in the basement - you just need a CHF 1 coin to operate it and you're in heaven! It was just what we needed after long days tramping on the mountains. The Coop small supermarket supplies just about everything you need to cook decent meals and there's an ATM right by the train station. Recycling and refuse disposal is a bit of a faff as you have to take it to three different places, most of which is a 10 minute walk back into the village. This was difficult to do on our last day with all our luggage too, so I would suggest you get the recycling done the evening before you leave, then you only have refuse to dispose of in the container outside the apartment, on the morning you leave. The glass/aluminium recycling place was quite difficult to find as (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps shows it as in the middle of the river! Eventually we found it in the back of the car park which is next to the Hotel/Restaurant Jungfrau. Hotel Oberland is highly recommended for fondues and rosti with local sausage, and really friendly service. The Aussie chap that runs the restaurant made everyone go outside at one point to see the sunset reflected on the snow-capped mountains, making them glow bright pink, which was an amazing sight. London, United Kingdom
A clean, comfortable, and convenient apartment in a really special place. Easy walk (5-10 minutes) into town for necessities and the train station. A longer walk to some of the attractions in Lauterbrunnen Valley (I walked to Trummelbach Falls and up to Wengen). Bus stop close by, plus a single designated parking spot. Everything was as described. Host was very responsive to questions, but hands-off which was perfect for us. Would be happy to stay again. Delta Junction, AK USA
The host is very good and explained to us all the places that can be played around; the house is also very good, opposite the balcony is the mountain view, there is everything in the house, all…Nieuwegein, Netherlands
This apartment is absolutely fantastic. It is less than a five minute walk into the centre of town and train station. It has great views of Staubbach Falls and imposing cliffs between which the town is situated. The apartment itself had everything we needed and was impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable. Check in was a breeze and the host provided a raft of recommended activities. A great experience!
Beautiful place, as relaxing as described. It's an easy walk on the footpath to the apartment and a drop-dead gorgeous view. Communication was fabulous and we wanted for nothing. Eugene, OR USA
Ey was an outstanding host. He provided us a list of many great things to do in the area and beyond. He was always available to answer any questions. His place was wonderful. It was in a very beautiful valley in a pretty little town. The falls were right out your back door. You could sit on the patio enjoying your coffee or tea and watch the beautiful falls. The trails through the valley started right by the apartment. You just can't believe how wonderful it was to walk through the valley. The apartment was great. Ey had it stocked with everything you could possibly need and the stores were just a short distance away. We spent a wonderful month at the apartment and can't wait to get back. Austin, TX USA
Lovely apartment, which can advantageously form the framework for your holiday in the Jungfrau area. Lovely views, good internet, good beds, functional kitchen.

We have just stayed at Ey Hus 5 and loved the apartment and the beautiful village of Lauterbrunnen. Whilst we drove to Lauterbrunnen and a parking bay was provided, we found that the village and all local attractions were easily accessible without using our vehicle once. The apartment was very clean and had all necessary requirements for our stay. Thank you for making your beautiful home available for travellers to share. London UK
The place (unit 5) is a nice and cozy apartment suitable and safe for solo traveller or couple. It has a balcony which faces the famous Staubbach waterfall and the valley and mountains. Beautiful place :) I got the clear instructions to the place and did not meet the host but was able to clarify stuff once i connect to their wifi thru bnb apps. Fast and friendly responses. It is equipped with a kitchen cum living room and a toilet with good shower facilities. Towels and detergents are provided with no breakfast but it was fine with me as i get the whole place to my privacy, but i can boil my own hot water and tea/coffee provided. Grocery can be bought when u first arrived at the Lauterbrunnen train station (coop) which have nice pastries, cold food and fruits and their swiss chocolates (gifts) are cheaper than the shops in the town area :) The place has utensils, fridge and microwave so u can heat up food, or cook on yr own but i ate out most of the time in the town area. It is located about 300 m walk fr the train station by the main road (but only about 150 m from the town) near the church which it very easy to find using her given map. She can speak English which i really appreciate. Most people in Switzerland can speak English well and very helpful which i really like the place as a solo traveller. This area is the highlight for my 1 month trip around Europe! From Lauterbrunnen town, u can travel easily by local railway train or cable car up to other nearby hilltop towns (like Mürren or Wengen which are popular with tourists), Top of Europe or Schilthorn mountain top, so its a nice central base to put yourself in. Lauterbrunnen is a valley itself which you can hike around in the town itself with maps provided by tourist office (flat walk) and u can also hike down from Mürren or Wengen etc. Singapore
Great organization for a week of skiing in Wengen for the ski world cup !!! No complaints. This description was automatically translated using Google Translate and may not be completely accurate. Bozel, France
